I've made a few updates to my blog today, and not really anything that visible on the front end.
So what do I have to show for my labours? Well, the majority has been a complete overhaul of my admin area. I've added various stats and generally made it better. The long and short of it is that I'll (hopefully) now write some more as it's generally a nicer place to be!
Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I've reverted back to trusty old TinyMCE for my rich text editor. Why you ask? Well I've tried a few, most of which are on queness.com. I'd been using WYMEditor as it's jQuery based, but it strips tags randomly. I can handle the XHTML Strict ones being removed (target="blank" for instance), but it would also do funny things with alt tags and link titles and this was creating invalid pages, and I couldn't have that!
The other thing I've added is the social bookmarking element. To be honest I thought I'd done this a while with AddThis, but it turns out I hadn't. Anyway, it's there now with some funky hand drawn icons.
I'm going to be adding pagination to the blog page as soon as I get chance - I'm also considering a better structure for the posts so they can be categorised better, perhaps in a Wordpress style date system.
Think that's about it for now, I'm off to watch Villa beat Hull.... hopefully!
